The Adaptil Calming Shirt is a close-fitting wrap that applies gentle, constant pressure across the chest and torso — the same principle behind swaddling. It is used for situational stress: thunderstorms, fireworks, car travel, vet visits and being left alone. Unlike the Adaptil collar and diffuser it contains no pheromone, so it can be used on its own or layered with them.
Available in XS, Small, Medium, Large and XL. Sizing is on chest girth rather than weight — measure around the widest part of the ribcage behind the front legs and choose from the Adaptil chart, because a shirt that is loose does nothing and one that is too tight will be resisted. How to use
Introduce the shirt on a calm day with treats before you need it, so the dog does not associate it only with storms. Fit it before the stressful event starts rather than once the dog is already panicking. Remove it for sleeping and unsupervised periods, and check the skin underneath if it is worn for long stretches. Persistent anxiety, self-injury or destruction needs veterinary advice rather than a wrap alone.
