Four treatments that a new tank actually needs, bought together instead of one at a time. Stress Coat conditions tap water and adds a protective slime coat; Quick Start seeds nitrifying bacteria so the nitrogen cycle starts immediately; Stress Zyme breaks down the sludge that builds up in the first weeks; Aquarium Salt supports gill function and electrolyte balance.
API sizes and doses the pack for aquariums up to 15 US gallons (about 57 litres), so a larger tank will get through it quickly — it is a starter pack rather than a supply. Adding bacteria does not remove the need to test, either: check ammonia and nitrite through the first month with the Freshwater Master Test Kit.
