A concentrated pond conditioner that does two jobs at once: it makes tap water safe by neutralising chlorine and chloramine and detoxifying heavy metals, and it binds ammonia, nitrite and nitrate so they are no longer toxic to fish while the biological filter catches up.
Worth being clear about what "binds" means — the ammonia is still in the pond, held in a form the fish are not harmed by, and the filter still has to process it. API's own advice is that if ammonia or nitrite are still elevated after seven days of dosing, the answer is a partial water change rather than more product.
