The rotor inside the InPond pump. It is the part that wears, and the part that jams when grit or a leaf stem gets past the strainer — an InPond that hums but moves no water almost always needs this rather than a new unit.
Sizes
- 2000 — 10W pump, 650 L/hr
- 3000 — 10W pump, 700 L/hr (Blagdon list this impeller as also fitting the Minipond 700)
- 6000 — 26.5W pump, 1500 L/hr
- 9000 — 49.5W pump, 3000 L/hr
Important
These are not interchangeable. Each impeller is matched to its motor's output, and fitting the wrong one will either stall or burn out. Check the model number on the InPond body, not the pond size.
Fitting it
Unplug at the mains first. Open the pump chamber, lift the old impeller out, and check the ceramic shaft and bushes while it is apart — a worn shaft will chew a new impeller within a season. Rinse in pond water, never in tap water or detergent.
