Think Calm paste is the syringe format of Brinicombe's calming formula for horses — a 30ml single dose, meant for the day it is needed rather than as a daily program. Farriery, floating, a first outing after a spell and a busy showground are the usual reasons people keep one in the float.
An honest limit. A calmer will not make a green horse educated or a sore horse comfortable. If a horse is consistently difficult, the first questions are pain, saddle fit, teeth and workload, not what is in the syringe. A paste helps at the margin on a horse that is basically fine and just finds the day a lot.
For daily support rather than a one-off, look at the liquids and pellets in the range.
