The replacement base unit with propeller for the Catit Pixi Smart drinking fountain. On this fountain the propeller and its housing are the moving parts, and they are what wear, clog or start rattling long before anything else fails.
Before you replace it
A Pixi that has gone noisy or stopped flowing usually needs the propeller taken out and the housing cleaned rather than a new base. Slime builds up around the shaft and on the impeller blades, and it is not visible until you pull it apart. Try that first — it takes five minutes and costs nothing.
Keeping the next one alive
- Strip and wash the propeller housing every couple of weeks
- Never let the fountain run dry
- Change the filter on condition so the pump is not pulling through a clogged one
What we cannot confirm
Catit does not publish which Pixi generations this base fits. If you are not sure which model you own, send us a photo and we will check before you order.
