Ketol is an oral drench of propylene glycol with choline. Propylene glycol is a readily used energy source, which is why it is the standard oral support for dairy cows with, or at risk of, ketosis in early lactation. Ketosis often travels with other problems such as a displaced abomasum or retained membranes, so a cow that is not responding needs a vet.
