Cal + is Equine Products Ireland's broodmare and young horse supplement, built around the minerals that skeletal development draws on hardest — calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and copper, with vitamin D3, vitamin K3, iodine and sodium. It is aimed at the in-foal mare and the growing horse; a mature horse in ordinary work fed a balanced hard feed does not need this level of calcium supplementation, and stacking it on top of another mineral balancer is not the idea.
Three sizes. At the mare rate of 140g a day the 4.5kg is about a 32-day supply, the 10kg about 71 days and the 20kg about 142 days; foals and yearlings at 70g a day get roughly double that from each pack.
