A liquid calcium and magnesium supplement for reptiles and amphibians. Liquids pass straight into the small intestine, which is why some keepers prefer them to a dusting powder for an animal that will not tolerate coated food. Two things worth knowing before you buy: it contains no vitamin D3, so an animal without adequate UVB or a separate D3 source still cannot use the calcium well; and calcium is not harmless in excess — oversupplementing distorts the calcium to phosphorus balance rather than improving on it.
One 120ml bottle (Exo Terra item PT1973), listed on the brand's site simply as Calcium 4 fl oz. If you need D3 alongside, our Electrolyte + Vitamin D3 supplies it through the drinking water, and Vitamize Multi Vitamin Powder covers vitamins and trace elements. The rest of the range is in our Exo Terra collection.
Ingredients
Water, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, calcium lactate.
Guaranteed Analysis
Calcium 8.0–8.5%, magnesium 1.0–1.2%, moisture 58–60%. Typical analysis: calcium 8.1%, magnesium 1.1%. The magnesium is included to support the body's own production of calcitonin, the hormone behind bone density.
Directions for Use
Exo Terra does not publish a dose rate for this product on its product page, so we have not printed one here — follow the directions on the bottle you receive, and do not combine it with a calcium powder on the same feed without checking your total.
