The Solo II is the single-zone model in Exo Terra's Monsoon range: a programmable misting unit with its own 1.5-litre reservoir, running one nozzle as supplied and two at most. It suits a single terrarium holding a species that needs regular humidity spikes — crested geckos, dart frogs, young chameleons. If you keep several enclosures, or one large enclosure that needs more than two nozzles, buy the Multi II instead; adding nozzles to a Solo II lowers the pressure at each one.
Programmable for multiple misting cycles per 24 hours, with each spray set anywhere between 2 seconds and 2 minutes. Spare nozzles, the Y-connector, the inline water filter and the nozzle extension kit are sold separately. The rest of the range is in our Exo Terra collection.
Features
- Programmable cycles — frequency and duration are set independently, so a species that wants a short dawn burst and a longer evening soak gets both.
- Very fine mist — the spray hangs as fog rather than falling as droplets, which lifts humidity without saturating the substrate.
- Directional nozzle — the flexible nozzle can be aimed at foliage, a basking branch or the background.
- Refillable in place — the reservoir tops up without removing the unit from a cabinet.
- 1.8m of tubing — pressure-resistant polyether, long enough to hide the unit under or beside the terrarium.
- Distilled water recommended — Exo Terra recommends distilled water to keep mineral deposits out of the nozzle.
