A paludarium is a terrarium with a water section. The Pro Paludarium has an extra-deep waterproof base and a closable tap drain built into the bottom, so you can run a pond or stream zone and change the water without dismantling the layout. It suits semi-aquatic animals — fire-bellied toads, newts, small turtles, crab and shrimp displays — and planted riparian setups. It is the wrong enclosure for a dry-desert species; for those use the Pro Terrarium instead.
Four sizes, all in the X-Tall proportion: 30 x 30 x 60cm, 45 x 45 x 90cm, 60 x 45 x 90cm and 90 x 45 x 90cm. Height is the point here — it gives you room to stack a water zone, a bank and a climbing zone in the one enclosure. Replacement doors are available separately, and the rest of the range is in our Exo Terra collection.
Features
- Extra-deep waterproof base — holds a genuine aquatic zone rather than a shallow dish.
- Bottom drain with tap valve — water changes without disturbing the substrate or hardscape.
- Three-tier adjustable airflow — patented forced vertical circulation, which matters more here because a water zone raises humidity.
- Lockable screen top — stainless steel mesh in a removable in-frame mount, high UVB transmission.
- Spring-loaded push latch — front door with an integrated lock.
- Cable and tubing management — self-closing rear inlets and internal gutters; Monsoon misting compatible.
