A 2W ultraviolet LED nightlight that produces the soft UV of moonlight rather than a bright white glow. Its party trick is real husbandry value: scorpions and many spiders and insects fluoresce under UV, so you can watch nocturnal animals that are simply invisible under a normal light, without waking them with a daylight lamp. It adds no meaningful heat, which is the point — the terrarium can still drop to its natural night temperature.
One unit, with a self-adhesive support base included so it can be fixed inside the terrarium. Exo Terra rates it at roughly 80% less energy than a conventional night light. It is a viewing light, not a UVB lamp — if the animal needs UVB for vitamin D3 you need a Reptile UVB100 or UVB150 as well. For a combined day and night unit see the Day & Night LED. Features
- Fluorescence viewing — makes scorpions, spiders and insects glow in the dark so nocturnal activity is actually observable.
- Moonlight-like UV — similar to the ultraviolet reflected off the moon's surface, so it does not read as daylight to the animal.
- Allows natural night temperature drops — unlike a night heat globe, it contributes no warmth.
- 2W LED — long life and around 80% less energy than a conventional night light.
- Self-adhesive support base included — mounts inside the terrarium without drilling.
