Thirty-centimetre stainless steel feeding tweezers, in a straight and an angled version. The length is the point: it keeps your hand well clear of a feeding response, and it lets you place food without reaching into the enclosure with your fingers. Soft-coated tips protect the animal's mouth and hold a live insect without crushing it. They are a feeding tool, not a handling tool — a snake hook or tongs is the right choice for moving an animal.
Straight or angled, both 30cm (Exo Terra items PT2067 and PT2068). The straight pair is the everyday one for open-topped feeding and general use. The angled pair earns its place when you are feeding into the back or floor of a deep terrarium: the bend lets you reach down and across without rolling your wrist over, which matters if you feed several animals in a row.
