Replacement foam for the Exo Terra Turtle Filter external canister, in two grades that do different jobs. Coarse (PT3636) sits first in the flow and catches the bulk of the waste — in a turtle tank that is most of the work. Fine (PT3635) sits after it and polishes what gets through. Both come two to a pack. Worth noting: although this listing is named for the FX-200, Exo Terra lists both foams as fitting the FX-200 (PT3630) and the FX-350 (PT3640).
Run both grades if the canister has room for them. Fine foam on its own will clog quickly under a turtle's waste load; coarse foam on its own leaves the water hazy. The FX-200 impeller is listed separately, and these do not fit the submersible Repti Clear filters, which take their own media. More turtle gear sits in our Exo Terra collection — including the Turtle Clean water conditioner.
Features
- Coarse (PT3636) — captures large particulate matter and debris, and keeps flowing longer before it clogs.
- Fine (PT3635) — small pore size for fine particulate, which is what makes the water look clear rather than merely clean.
- Custom fit — shaped to the canister so water cannot bypass the media around the edges.
- Two per pack — both grades are supplied as a pair.
- Service interval — Exo Terra suggests servicing the FX-200 every 1 to 2 months on a turtle tank, every 2 to 4 months on other habitats.
