Exo Terra's external humidifier, catalogued by the manufacturer simply as the Humidifier (PT2081). It is a 4.5-litre unit that sits outside the enclosure and pipes fog in through a 120cm hose, with adjustable output and an automatic cut-off when the water drops below minimum. At full output a tank runs about 20 hours. This is the tool for a large or heavily planted enclosure that needs humidity held up day after day. For a small tank, or where you only want fog rolling over a water feature, the in-tank Mist Fogger does that job for a fraction of the price.
A Y-connector is included, so one unit can feed two terrariums; the Ultrasonic Humidifying Extension Kit supplies the extra tubing, brackets and connectors to route the output further. Exo Terra also lists it as compatible with its Thermostat & Hygrostat (PT2464) if you want fog driven by measured humidity rather than left running. Pair it with a hygrometer so you can see what it is actually achieving.
Features
- 4.5-litre reservoir — up to 20 hours per fill at maximum output, so it covers a full day unattended.
- Adjustable fog output — dial the volume down for species that want damp air rather than a saturated tank.
- Automatic shut-off — stops when the water level falls below minimum, which protects the unit if you forget a refill.
- LED level indicator — green when full, flashing red and green when low, red when empty.
- Refill while running — the lid lifts off without shutting the unit down.
- Y-connector included — splits the output between two enclosures out of the box.
- Hygrostat ready — works with the Exo Terra Thermostat & Hygrostat (PT2464) for closed-loop humidity control.
