The Vista is Exo Terra's panoramic display terrarium. Its front corner glass is bent rather than joined, so there is no vertical frame at each front edge and you get a clear 180° view of the enclosure — the reason to choose it over a conventional all-glass terrarium is that you intend to look at a landscaped build from more than one angle. Exo Terra sells the four sizes as the Vista 60, Vista 90, Vista 120 and Vista 120XL.
It arrives flat-packed. This is the thing to know before ordering. The Vista ships as panels and is assembled with twelve screws and the supplied screwdriver — Exo Terra quotes under five minutes, and it is genuinely straightforward, but it is not a terrarium you lift out of the box ready to use. If you want a pre-assembled enclosure, the Natural Terrarium range is the one to look at. The two 120cm models are also large: 34.25kg and 39.6kg packed, wide enough to need a purpose-built stand, and a two-person lift. Measure the space and check what your stand is rated to carry before you order.
Four sizes: 60 x 45 x 45cm, 90 x 45 x 45cm, 120 x 60 x 45cm and 120 x 60 x 60cm. If you want the adjustable three-tier airflow and in-frame locking top instead, see the Pro Terrarium. The rest of the range is in our Exo Terra collection.
Features
- Bent front corner glass — no upright frame at the front corners, giving an uninterrupted 180° view of a planted or hardscaped layout.
- Adjustable front window ventilation — the front inlet opens and closes, so you can dial the upward airflow up for a drier setup or down to hold humidity.
- Dual lockable front doors — the two doors open independently and lock, and both are removable for a full clean or a rebuild.
- Hinged lockable screen cover — black anodised stainless steel mesh, hinged to the frame and lockable, which passes UVB and infrared from lamps mounted above.
- Waterproof base — holds a deep dry substrate or a drainage layer for a bioactive build.
- Raised bottom frame — leaves clearance underneath so a heat mat can be fitted against the base.
- Six self-closing inlets — three on each side for probes, cables and misting tubing, closing back around whatever passes through.
- Monsoon-ready — moulded mounting points for misting nozzles, so a misting system fits without drilling.
- Insulating PVC back panel — lightweight and helps hold heat in through the back of the enclosure.
