A fitted fabric cover for the Ferplast Superior folding crate. It turns an open wire crate into a darker, quieter den for a dog that settles better out of sight of the room, and it takes the edge off wind and draughts in a garage, on a verandah or in the back of a wagon. It is cut for the Superior crate specifically, so it will not fit a MidWest or generic wire crate of a similar length.
Each size matches the Superior crate carrying the same number. Cover dimensions are 60 — 62 x 45 x H 48cm, 75 — 75 x 51 x H 55cm, 90 — 90 x 57 x H 60cm, 105 — 105 x 76 x H 73cm and 120 — 120 x 77 x H 81cm. The matching crates are on the Ferplast Superior Folding Dog Crates page, and the rest of the range sits under Ferplast and Dog Housing & Bedding.
Features
- Waterproof and windproof fabric — sheds rain and blocks draughts, with a scratch-resistant face.
- Roll-up windows — on the door side and on the roof, each held open with velcro, so you set how much light and airflow the crate gets.
- Elastic band fixing — the cover pulls onto the crate frame with elastic bands rather than clips, so it stays put when the crate is moved.
- Five sizes — one for each Superior crate model from 60 through to 120.
Using it
Roll the door and roof windows up when the crate is in a warm room or a parked car. A fully closed cover cuts airflow, which is the point on a cold night and the opposite of what you want on a hot afternoon. Let the fabric dry fully before folding it away.
