Insulin syringes with a fine fixed needle (29G or 30G, 12.7mm) for giving insulin to diabetic dogs and cats at home. The syringe scale must match the insulin: U-40 insulins (such as those most commonly prescribed for pets) need U-40 syringes, and U-100 insulins need U-100 syringes. Using the wrong one gives 2.5 times too much or too little insulin. If you are unsure which your pet uses, check the insulin label or ask your vet before ordering.
Box of 100, in U-40 0.5mL or 1mL and U-100 0.3mL or 1mL.
- U-40 and U-100 — Match the syringe to the insulin strength.
- Fixed fine needle — 29G or 30G x 12.7mm.
- Box of 100 — Single use.
Handling
Single use only. Do not re-sheath a used needle. Dispose of used sharps in an approved sharps container — never in household or farm waste. Sale and possession of hypodermic needles and syringes is regulated in some Australian states and territories; buy and use them in line with your local requirements.
