Replacement cartridges for the Elite Hush hang-on-back power filters, in packs of five. Buying by the five-pack is the sensible way to run these filters: carbon is exhausted in about four weeks and a cartridge that is left in beyond that stops adsorbing and simply becomes more mechanical media.
Options
- Hush 10 Carbon — activated carbon cartridge for odour, discolouration and medication residue.
- Hush 10 Foam — plain foam, mechanical and biological only.
- Hush 20 Carbon — the larger carbon cartridge.
Do not run carbon while medicating a tank — it strips the medication straight back out. Swap to the foam cartridge for the course of treatment, then go back to carbon to clear the residue.
Cartridges are sized to the filter. A Hush 10 cartridge will not seal in a Hush 20 body.
