A polished reflector that clips over a pair of T8 tubes and throws the upward half of their output back down into the tank. Roughly half the light from a bare fluorescent tube goes the wrong way, so a reflector is the cheapest real increase in usable light available on a T8 system — cheaper than a new tube and far cheaper than a new fitting.

- 61cm (24in) — suits 20W twin fittings
- 91cm (36in) — suits 30W twin fittings
The shield is sized to the tube length, so measure the tube rather than the hood. It is for twin T8 fittings; a single-tube hood needs a different profile.
