Long-stem fibre cubes are not a straight replacement for hay. They are chewed and swallowed faster than a haynet, so a horse on cubes alone spends far less of the day eating, which matters for both gut health and boredom. Feed them alongside adequate forage rather than instead of it, and soak them for horses with poor teeth or any history of choke.
