A galvanised hanging feeder for chickens, in 9 inch and 12 inch pan diameters. Hung at about the height of the birds' backs it keeps grain out of the litter, reduces scratching waste, and makes the feed harder for rodents to reach than an open tray.
Galvanised steel handles weather far better than plastic, but it is heavy — make sure whatever you hang it from will carry the feeder plus a full load of grain.
Choosing a size
- 9 Inch — a few birds, or a smaller coop where floor space is tight
- 12 Inch — more birds feeding at once and longer between refills
Care
Keep the hopper dry; wet grain sticks and bridges in the cone. Rinse and dry fully before storing.
