Shaped like a trout and sealed three times over, the KONG Wild Shieldz Trout is a water retrieving and dock diving toy rather than a soft toy to leave on the floor. The reinforced outer layer over the polyester body is what separates it from an ordinary plush fish, and there is enough weight in it to throw a long way out. Stocked in Medium, which KONG matches to dogs of roughly 7 to 16 kg, and rates for light to moderate chewing under supervision.
- Floats — sits on the surface for water retrieves and dock diving practice
- Triple-sealed construction — reinforced seams for repeated wet use
- Throwing weight — heavy enough to send well out over water
- Fish shape — easy for a dog to grab on the run
- 87% polyester and 13% thermoplastic rubber
Size and materials
Medium only, roughly 28 cm long, 12.7 cm across and 5.7 cm deep, about 150 g, made in China. Rinse with fresh water after swimming — especially after salt water — and air dry it fully so it does not hold an odour. Retire it once the outer shell splits or a seam opens.
