A ball of compressed timothy hay. It rolls around the hutch floor, it gets chewed, and eventually it gets eaten - all three are the point. Timothy is a grass hay, so unlike a treat this is essentially the same material the animal should already be eating all day, just in a shape that invites play.
Because it is edible it will not last long with an enthusiastic rabbit. Treat it as a consumable enrichment item rather than a durable toy, and keep the hay rack full regardless.
Suits
- Rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus.
- Floor play, chew wear and hay intake in one item.
