A compressed mini bale of timothy grass hay. Small herbivores pull at it, work strands loose and eat as they go, which takes considerably longer than clearing a pile of loose hay from a rack.
It is not a replacement for the daily hay supply - one bale will not feed a rabbit for a day. Think of it as a way to make part of the hay ration into a job rather than a meal, sitting alongside a permanently full hay rack.
Suits
- Rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus.
- Slowing down hay intake and adding chew time.
