Disposable toilet training pads, 60 x 60cm, fifty to a box. They suit puppies in the house-training months, small and medium dogs kept indoors while you are at work, senior or incontinent dogs, and recovery after surgery. At 60cm square they give a dog that circles before it goes enough room to stay on the pad, which is where most smaller pads fail.
Six layers do the work. A Japanese super-absorbent polymer core locks liquid into a gel quickly, so the surface dries off and paws do not track it through the house. A layer of activated charcoal handles odour. Underneath, a waterproof polyethylene liner stops anything reaching the floor. The pad is non-toxic and tear-resistant, and there are self-adhesive stickers on the underside of each corner so it will not slide or bunch up when a dog steps on it. Each pad is tested to hold one litre of urine.
The honest limit: these are single-use and go in the bin. Fifty pads is roughly three to five weeks for a young puppy changed two or three times a day, less in the early weeks. If the running cost or the waste bothers you, the reusable Simple Solution Washable Training & Travel Pads are the alternative. If your puppy shreds pads, the Simple Solution Training Pad Holder takes any pad 53 x 53cm or larger, so this one fits.

Features
- Six-layer construction — built up rather than a single absorbent sheet.
- Japanese SAP core — turns liquid to gel fast, so the top sheet dries and paws stay clean.
- Activated charcoal — takes on the odour rather than perfuming over it.
- Waterproof PE liner — nothing reaches the floor underneath.
- Self-adhesive corner stickers — on the underside, to stop the pad sliding or bunching.
- Tested to hold 1 litre — and non-toxic and tear-resistant.
How to Use
- Peel the backing from the corner stickers and press the pad down where you want it, absorbent side up.
- Pick a spot away from the dog's bed and food bowls, and leave it in the same place while training.
- Take the puppy to the pad after sleeping, eating and playing, and praise any success straight away.
- Once the habit is set, move the pad a short distance every few days towards the door if you are training outdoors.
- Replace the pad when soiled and dispose of it in general waste — do not flush.
