Minrosa's compressed blocks are pressed harder than a standard salt block. The practical effect is that they last longer in two situations: a horse that treats a salt block as a chew toy, and a yard where the block is exposed to weather.
The 2kg suits a stable or a single yard where you can bring it in. The 10kg is for a paddock or a shared yard where you want to set it and leave it.
Compressed blocks are slower going, which is the point, but a horse that genuinely needs sodium after heavy work will get there faster from loose salt in the feed. Use both if you are working a horse hard in summer.
