Yearling Prep is built for the sale preparation window — conditioning a yearling for the ring over a period of months. The nutritional tension in that job is real: you want condition and bloom, but pushing energy too hard in a growing horse is associated with developmental orthopaedic problems, so a preparation feed has to balance growth rate against the look you are after. That is why it exists as a separate product rather than being a general growth feed fed harder.
Supplied as a 20kg bag. To add topline and appetite during prep, Mitavite's Anazolic is aimed at exactly this group.
Features
- Sale preparation — formulated for yearlings being prepared for sale
- Condition and bloom — the two things a sale ring judges on
- Growth-aware — a purpose-built prep feed rather than a general growth ration fed hard
Feeding Guide
Feed at the rate printed on the bag for bodyweight and stage of preparation, with ample forage. Monitor growth as well as condition in young horses, and involve your vet or nutritionist if the horse is growing unevenly.
