Natural Animal Solutions Freeze Formed Dental Health Bites put the brand's dental seaweed into a treat. Each bite carries 450mg of Ascophyllum nodosum, a cold-water seaweed that works through the saliva to help keep plaque from building up, plus decaffeinated green tea and zinc, on a freeze-dried kangaroo base. They suit cats and dogs that will not accept a toothbrush. Be realistic about what they do: they help slow new build-up, they do not remove tartar that has already hardened. If you can see brown tartar or red gums, a vet dental clean comes first. Not suitable for animals with hyperthyroidism, because the seaweed contains iodine.
