NexGard Chewables For Large Dogs 25.1-50kg Red

The red NexGard pack is the large dog band, suitable for large dogs from 25.1 to 50 kg in bodyweight, and PeekAPaw stocks it in a 3 chewable pack and a 6 chewable pack. It is the top of the NexGard range, which runs 2-4 kg, 4.1-10 kg, 10.1-25 kg and 25.1-50 kg - if your dog weighs more than 50 kg, ask your vet which product suits rather than working it out from the box. Large dogs tend to be the swimmers and the long-grass walkers in a household, and NexGard is not affected by bathing, swimming or shampooing, so there is no bath to time around. It is a soft, tasty beef-flavoured chew given with or without food. Weigh your dog before choosing: at 25 kg exactly the green 10.1-25 kg pack is the right one. Each chew is effective for one month.

How long one chew works

NexGard kills fleas on dogs for 5 weeks (35 days), ensuring protection for a full month. NexGard kills ticks on dogs (paralysis ticks, bush ticks and brown dog ticks) for 35 days (5 weeks), ensuring protection for a full month.

Directions for use

NexGard is a monthly chew and each chew is effective for one month. Give the pack that matches your dog's bodyweight - NexGard (Red) is suitable for large dogs from 25.1 to 50 kg in bodyweight. It can be given with or without food, and it is not affected by bathing, swimming or shampooing.

Safety

• Safe for puppies from 8 weeks of age and weighing at least 2 kg.
• Safe to use in breeding, pregnant and lactating females.
• To minimise the risk of tick paralysis, it is also important to perform daily searching and removal of ticks.

What NexGard does not cover

NexGard contains afoxolaner and no milbemycin oxime, so it carries no heartworm claim and no intestinal worm claim. It prevents flea tapeworm infestations through its effect on fleas, which is not the same as treating an existing worm burden. If you want heartworm and intestinal worm cover in the same monthly chew, look at NexGard Spectra, and speak to your vet about what your dog needs.
