A single bonded block of ceramic web media, built for ponds and large aquaria where loose rings would be awkward to handle and slow to service. It does the same job as the 3DM rings — a high-surface-area home for nitrifying bacteria — but lifts out and goes back in one piece.
It is sized for pond and large-system filter chambers. On a small aquarium canister the 3DM rings are the more practical format.
Rinse in pond or tank water, never under a chlorinated tap, and never replace the whole biological stage at once.
