A slow feeder is the answer to a cat that inhales a meal and then brings it straight back up. The moulded ridges spread the food into channels so the cat has to work around them rather than taking it in mouthfuls.
It works for dry food and for wet, though wet food takes more washing out of the grooves. Run it through the sink after every wet meal or it will sour.
It will not fix a cat that bolts because it is anxious about another cat in the house - that needs separate feeding spots, not a different bowl.
