A coarse nesting material for parrot nest boxes, sized for the way parrots nest — most species chew the material down themselves rather than weaving a cup, so a substrate that sits in the base of the box is what they need. It also gives the eggs something to rest on instead of bare timber, where they roll and chill.

Care
Put a layer in the base of the nest box before the season starts. Replace between clutches and clean the box out at the end of the season. Store dry.
