It is the wash half of the Pet Drs skin routine — bathing first removes the surface debris and allergens that keep an irritated patch going, so a topical applied afterwards actually reaches skin. A dog with healthy skin does not need a medicated-style wash; over-bathing strips coat oils and can make itching worse.

How to use
- Wet the coat thoroughly — a thick double coat takes longer than you think
- Work the shampoo down to skin, not just through coat
- Leave it in contact for several minutes before rinsing
- Rinse until the water runs clear; residue is itchy in its own right
