A pelleted laying ration for hens in production. The difference between this and a grower feed is calcium: a laying hen puts a substantial amount into every shell, and a ration that does not supply it will pull it out of her own bones instead.
Feed it from point of lay onwards. Do not feed it to chicks or non-laying pullets - the calcium level is wrong for birds that are not laying. And because hens sort a grain mix but cannot sort a pellet, this should be the base ration with scratch grain as the extra, not the other way around.
Feeding
- Available at all times with clean water.
- Offer shell grit separately so hens can top up calcium as they need it.
- Keep scratch grain and kitchen scraps to a modest share of the daily intake.
Pair it with the Peters Free Range Poultry Mix as the scratch portion. See the rest of the Peters range.
