Petway Petcare Tear Stain Remover is a wipe-on cleaner for the rust-coloured staining that builds up under the eyes and around the mouth, stocked at PeekAPaw in 125ml and 250ml. It is pH balanced for use around the eye area and contains no bleach or peroxide — the two ingredients most often found in cheap whitening products and the two most likely to burn.
Be realistic about what it does. It cleans staining off the coat; it does not stop the tearing that causes it. Persistent tear staining usually has a cause underneath — blocked tear ducts, an eyelash rubbing, an allergy, a shallow eye socket in a flat-faced breed — and Petway are upfront that the product needs continual use to keep on top of it.
