Protexin Veterinary Pro-Kolin Enterogenic is the long-term gastrointestinal support member of the Pro-Kolin family for dogs and cats, stocked at PeekAPaw as 4g sachets in a 30 pack. Where Pro-Kolin+ is a paste, Enterogenic is a powder made to be added to the daily food and kept up over time, and it packs more into each sachet: the probiotic Enterococcus faecium PXN-33 with the prebiotic Fibersol, a Bifidobacterium animalis postbiotic, Safmannan yeast for mannan-oligosaccharide and beta-glucans, bentonite clay, L-threonine and N-acetyl D-glucosamine for the gut's mucus layer, and cobalamin. Protexin describes it as supporting intestinal health, modulating the immune system, stabilising the gut microbiome and supporting normal vitamin B12 levels. The powder is artificially chicken flavoured and contains no meat protein. One caution from the label: simultaneous use alongside oral macrolides should be avoided, so check with your vet if your pet is on medication.
