ProfeLAC Silver is the mid tier of ProviCo's calf milk replacer range — between Beef and Gold. It is the general-purpose choice for artificially reared calves where the rearing system is straightforward and calves move onto hard feed on a normal timetable.
Work out the tier from how the calves are being reared and how long they will be on milk before you compare prices per bag. Cost per calf reared, not cost per bag, is the number that matters.
Supplied as a 20kg bag.
Mixing
Mixing rate, water temperature and storage instructions are on the bag. Follow them exactly — replacer mixed too strong, too weak or too hot is a common cause of scours. Colostrum in the first hours of life is not optional and is not replaced by any milk replacer.
