Ranvet 500 Plus is a pelleted protein concentrate for growing and mature horses that need to build muscle and frame — weanlings, yearlings, horses coming back into condition, and breeding stock. It is a supplement, not a feed: it is fed alongside the normal ration rather than replacing it, so a horse already on a well-fortified hard feed may not need it.
Supplied in a 20kg bag. For a lighter daily vitamin and mineral top-up instead, see Ranvet Ration Balancer Pellet.
Benefits
- Amino acid profile — lysine 27g/kg, arginine 28g/kg and methionine 11.4g/kg, the limiting amino acids for muscle deposition.
- Bone minerals — calcium 65.2g/kg and phosphorus 23.4g/kg at a ratio suited to growing skeletons.
- Low starch delivery — 9.1MJ digestible energy per kg, so protein can be lifted without loading the ration with grain.
