Yellow Lotion is the traditional astringent wound lotion — used on abrasions, girth galls, burns and proud flesh, applied on a dressing or dabbed on where bandaging is impractical. It contains lead acetate, so wear gloves, keep it off your own skin and out of your eyes, and do not inhale the vapour.

Zinc sulphate 50.5g, lead acetate 50.5g, acriflavine 0.09g.
Directions
Shake well. Flush dirt and debris from the wound first, then apply to a gauze or cotton wool pad and bandage on, or dab liberally on sites that cannot be bandaged. Apply daily. Wear protective gloves and avoid eye and skin contact.
