The foam filter that keeps dust and salt creep out of the condenser coil. This is the single most useful spare to keep on hand: a clogged filter is the most common reason a chiller stops holding temperature, and it looks like a failing compressor until you pull the filter out.
Rinse the existing filter monthly in a fish room and replace it when the foam has gone brittle or will no longer come clean. On TK cabinets the filter sits behind the magnetic filter grid.
Fitment
- T Series — the standard T range filter.
- T5 Series — smaller, for T5 cabinets.
- T30 / T60 — larger, for the T30 and T60 units.
- TK500 / TK1000 / TK2000 — the magnetically retained filter used across the three TK cabinets.
