A 375g roll of soft absorbent cotton wool, 30cm wide and interleaved — the layers are separated so the roll pulls apart cleanly instead of dragging in strings the way a plain compressed roll does. Individually wrapped.
Two jobs it does well: economical padding and cleaning for wound care, and a warmth layer under travel or exercise bandages for muscles and tendons. It is loose cotton wool, so it is not a substitute for a proper combine dressing over an open wound — put a low adherent dressing against the wound first and use this as the padding over it.
