Red Cell is an iron, vitamin and mineral liquid fed daily over hard feed. It is popular and palatable, but worth being clear about: iron deficiency is uncommon in horses on a normal diet, and iron is not something to supplement indefinitely without a reason. If you are feeding it for a suspected anaemia, a blood test is a better guide than a hunch.
Supplied in 1L, 4L and 20L. A canine version is available for dogs.
Key points
- Daily liquid — measured over hard feed
- Three sizes — 1L for one horse, 20L for a yard
