Wahl Blade-X is a 1L blade wash — a liquid you dip a running blade into to lift out packed hair, old oil and residue. It is the bulk cleaning step in a grooming setup, as opposed to the aerosol coolant sprays used mid-clip.
The 1L size makes sense for a salon or anyone running several blades a day. A home groomer clipping one dog every few weeks will take years to get through it, and blade oil plus a brush covers most of what they need.
Blade wash cleans; it does not lubricate. Always re-oil a blade after washing, or it will run hot and blunt quickly.
How to use
- With the clipper running, dip only the blade teeth into the wash — never submerge the clipper body
- Let the blade run for a few seconds, then remove and wipe
- Dry, then oil before the next use
Keep away from eyes and skin, and store out of reach of children and pets.
