The KM2+ is the workhorse of Wahl's KM detachable-blade family — the machine most groomers reach for when they are not doing anything unusual. It takes standard KM blades, so cutting length changes with the blade rather than a lever.
Where it fits: regular full-body grooming on medium and heavy coats. Where it does not: fine finishing on a small dog's face, where a light trimmer such as the Fidela is easier to control, and casual once-a-season home use, where a cheaper kit is better value.

Brush and oil the blade between dogs. Keep spare blades so you can swap out a hot one rather than pushing through.
