The West Paw Snorkl is a curved tug toy measuring 21.5 x 18cm, made in one size and stocked in Emerald, Hibiscus and Surf. The boomerang shape is the whole idea: the two arms give a person and a dog — or, more usefully, two dogs — somewhere obvious to take hold well away from each other, which is what makes it a better shape for tug than a straight bone. It flexes under load instead of staying rigid, it floats if the game moves to the water, and the moulded swirl means no two come out quite the same colour. Who it is wrong for: a dog that plays alone. Snorkl holds no treats and is not something to leave in a crate — it is rated for moderate chewers and built around two-party play. If tug tends to get heated in your house, teach a reliable release cue before you start, or ask a behaviourist to help you build one.

Size and materials
21.5 x 18cm, one size. Made in the USA from Seaflex, a blend of 12% recycled ocean-bound plastic and 88% zero-waste Zogoflex. The ocean-bound plastic is Oceanworks certified, meaning it is audited for source authenticity and supply-chain transparency, and the toy is recyclable back to West Paw through its Join the Loop program. West Paw does not publish a dishwasher rating for Snorkl, so wash it by hand.
