The West Paw Sailz is a soft flying disc for dogs, stocked in one size at 22cm across and in three colours: Emerald, Hibiscus and Surf. Its profile is borrowed from disc golf rather than from the flat frisbee everyone grew up with, which is what gives it a long, settled flight instead of a wobble. The hole through the centre is the detail that matters most in practice — a dog can hook a tooth or a paw into it and lift the disc straight off the grass, rather than scrabbling at a flat edge until you pick it up for them. It floats, so the dam and the beach are fair game too. Two things to weigh up before you buy. Sailz is rated for moderate chewers, which makes it a fetch toy rather than a chew toy, and it should be put away between sessions. At 2.5cm thick it is also soft and light; if you want a rigid competition disc, this is not it.

Made in the USA from Seaflex, a blend of 12% recycled ocean-bound plastic and 88% zero-waste Zogoflex — Oceanworks-certified material, audited for source authenticity and supply-chain transparency — and recyclable back to West Paw through its Join the Loop program. West Paw does not publish a dishwasher rating for Sailz, so wash it by hand.
