A carbon fibre element that emits infrared-A and infrared-B across a wide, even basking area, with no visible light. It is Zoo Med's modern alternative to a ceramic heat emitter: same round-the-clock, light-free heat, but a deeper-penetrating output and a broader warm zone rather than a narrow hot spot. Both dimmer and thermostat compatible, and for a 24-hour heat source with no visual cue, a thermostat is the sensible way to run it.
Features
- Carbon fibre filament — emits infrared-A and infrared-B for deeper tissue penetration.
- No visible light — usable day and night without affecting the light cycle.
- Wide, even basking zone — rather than a tight spot.
- Three wattages — 60W, 100W and 150W.
- Dimmer and thermostat compatible.
Safety
- Never mount it inside the enclosure — fire and contact-burn hazard. It goes in an appropriately rated fixture above the enclosure.
- Do not position it directly on a glass cover; the temperature differential can crack the glass.
- Indoor use only.
