Bravecto for Cats

Bravecto spot-on products for cats come in three bodyweight bands — 1.2-2.8kg, 2.8-6.25kg and 6.25-12.5kg — in two spectrums. Bravecto Spot On for Cats gives up to 3 months of flea and paralysis tick protection from a single application, plus treatment and control of ear mites. Bravecto Plus covers a shorter interval of 2 months but treats heartworm and intestinal worms in the same dose.

Which one is right depends on what else your cat is already getting. If you are buying a separate wormer anyway, Plus consolidates that into one tube; if worming is already handled, the standard spot-on means fewer applications across the year. Either way, weigh your cat rather than judging by appearance — long-haired cats routinely weigh less than they look — and apply on skin at the base of the skull where grooming cannot remove it.

Every Bravecto for cats product is a spot-on. The Bravecto chew is a dog-only product, and dog products should never be used on a cat, so if a cat will not take tablets the spot-on is the format designed for it. Choose between the standard Spot On and Bravecto Plus by what your cat needs covered, then choose the band by weight. Apply to dry skin at the base of the skull, and keep the cat from being groomed by other pets until the site has dried. Record the treatment date, because an interval of two or three months is easy to lose track of.
