Bravecto Plus for Cats

Bravecto Plus is the broader-spectrum spot-on in the Bravecto cat range. One dose guards against fleas and paralysis ticks plus heartworm for 2 months, and treats intestinal worms and ear mites at the same time. That is the reason to choose it over the standard cat spot-on: it replaces a separate wormer rather than sitting alongside one.

The trade-off is the interval. Plus is applied every 2 months where the standard Bravecto Spot On for Cats covers up to 3 months, so over a year Plus means more applications for broader cover. Three bodyweight bands are stocked — 1.2-2.8kg green, 2.8-6.25kg blue and 6.25-12.5kg purple — and the middle and largest bands are also available as a two-pack. Weigh your cat before ordering and apply on skin at the base of the skull.

Because Bravecto Plus for cats combines flea, tick, heartworm and worm cover in one tube, a late dose lets all of that lapse at once. Note the date you applied it and set a reminder for two months later. Buy by your cat's current weight on a scale, not the weight from its last vet visit: kittens move up a band quickly, and long-haired cats often weigh less than they look. Check the pack for the minimum age and weight before treating a young kitten. No product removes the need to check for paralysis ticks during tick season; a cat that becomes wobbly, changes its voice or struggles to breathe needs a vet straight away.
